An Army of Volunteers –
Every year, men and women from around Central Texas give up a week, or sometimes two weeks of the summer, of their lives to spend time serving the pre-teens and teens at Camp Koinonia. These men and women are an invaluable resource and the heart of the work done at Camp K. Camp could not run without staff, as they are the ones who run all the activities, prepare the meals, teach the classes and mentor the campers. We would like to thank every member of the camp staff as we look forward to another successful year of camp.
Camp is always in need of valuable staff members to fill several key positions, but in order to keep camper costs down, we have limited availability for staff members. Since staff members volunteer their time and aren’t asked to contribute financially towards their week at camp, we have to set a maximum number of positions available for staff members. To be a part of Camp K staff this year, you’ll want to apply early; otherwise, you may need to be more flexible regarding your role at camp.
A Note on Scholarships –
As an incentive to our camp staff members and in order to recruit the top-quality staff, we make partial scholarships available to children of staff members who may need help sending their pre-teens and teens to camp. Though scholarship funds are limited, we do want to offer this as a resource. If you are able to volunteer for camp and are not in need of a partial scholarship, please consider providing that scholarship for another student who may need it in order to attend Camp Koinonia.
